Spring Cleanup Services
Removal of all leaves and fallen debris from both lawn and landscaped areas is the first task. Pruning and cutting back of the previous seasons spent growth and any winter damage will help rejuvenate your garden and landscape features. To aid in the general appearance of the property any damage to edging or fieldstone retaining walls can be refit and reset. For healthier growth through out the season, as well as a fresh look, mulch can be added to planting beds. Lastly, the addition of any organic fertilizers or pest control products will be applied if necessary.

Complete maintenance of shrubs, trees, flowerbeds and container plantings to keep a healthy, well maintained look of your property throughout the workable season. Drainage
As many homes and properties age, the affect of water and the freeze/thaw process caused by the changing of the seasons, can have a detrimental impact on the land. Whether it be a Hundred Year Storm event or the annual spring deluge, without proper drainage the whole of your property could potentially be at risk. The affects are far reaching and range in severity; problems can be as simple as pooling water in the yard after a storm or from a faulty irrigation line, or as difficult and costly as water penetration into the basement of your home. There are any number of solutions for your drainage problems. The first step to clearing away that extra water is giving us a call so that we can asses your property and determine the best course of action. Very often, in a city setting, the number one cause of drainage is due to the settling of soil around the foundation of your home. Settled soil could be addressed by simply adding more soil and adjusting the grade of the yard away from the home and any property; however, a more intensive solution maybe necessary due to the lack of natural drainage options. At Four Season Landscapes, LLC, we offer and install a number of available catch basins and leaching systems, which serve to either divert the water away from the property or encourage the natural drainage process of the land. We also offer a few new ‘Green’ option that allow for rain harvesting and off the grid water sustainability, both of which can add to the value of your property.
Rain barrels are the most simple solution. Catching and retaining water from downspouts, rain barrels help to prevent pooling around the house and collect the water for later use. One rain barrel can retain up to 75 gallons of water that can be used for watering your lawn and garden, instead of ‘tapping into the grid’. A one time investment in a rain barrel system can not only help solve your drainage issues but save you money on your water bill as well!
